About Keith Neo

My native country is Singapore, situated in the centre of Southeast Asia, where our first language is English (which surprises a lot of people, but that is the fact). I obtained my Bachelor of Engineering degree (B.Eng Hons) from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow in 2003. It follows immediately after gradution that I pursue my research degree (Ph.D.) in Gaussian Process with both University of Strathclyde (U.K.) and Hamilton Institute (University of Ireland, Maynooth).

The research was supported by various funding sources, such as the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and Science Foundation of Ireland (SFI). The thesis for the research was completed in 2008.

Hamilton Institute Systems Modelling Group

The Systems Modelling Group focuses on data modelling of nonlinear dynamic systems. Specialised in mathematical research within the context of engineering applications, the group utilises various methodologies, such as Machine Learning, particularly in the use of Gaussian process prior models, for System Identification.

Group history

The Systems Modelling Group (SMG) was established in 2006, joining other Research Groups in Hamilton Institute. The SMG is led by Professor Bill Leithead.
Group Members

The following members are / were part of the Systems Modelling Group.

  • Professor Bill Leithead (UK)
  • Professor Douglas Leith (IRL)
  • Dr. Yunong Zhang (CN)
  • Dr. Emanuele Ragnoli (IRL)
  • Dr. Keith Neo (SG)
